Coach Webb is starting his 12th year (2006-present) as head coach of the Corona del Sol Aztec baseball. His teams have had excellent season records.

The 2009 Team brought home Corona del Sol’s second STATE CHAMPIONSHIP in baseball by beating Hamilton 11-1 in the state finals.

The 2018 team made a very strong run at the state 6A play-offs but lost in the early rounds of the state tournament and finished their season with a record of 25 wins - 5 losses record.

Coach Webb has a rich background in baseball, having played at Phoenix Camelback High School for three years (1989-1991). He played for his father, Charlie Webb. Dave went on to play at Scottsdale Community College. He finished his degree at Grand Canyon University (1996). Dave also received his master’s degree from Arizona State University (2003).

Coach Webb teaches World History/Geography and World Geography. He is considered an excellent teacher in the classroom and on the baseball field. He will continue the baseball “TRADITION” at CDS.
